⚙️ Install a map

Do you need information on the correct installation of our maps? Have you just acquired one or more of our licenses? You are in the right place!

First of all, we are very happy and grateful that you have placed your trust in our services. So thank you very much for keeping Aeron alive!

You will find the installation guide as well as the content of our maps via the guide below.

Step 1 - Receipt of email

First, you must have received an email from our payment and distribution provider: Tebex. The email in question will contain direct access to the KeyMaster account indicated when placing your order. If you have linked your Discord account to our store, you will automatically receive your customer roles within ten minutes, which will allow you to open a support ticket.

Step 2 - KeyMaster

Once you have clicked on your account and gone to your "Granted Asset" space, you will find the license you purchased. You must first install the license on your computer.

Step 3 - .zip File

You must now extract the .zip file to a folder on your computer. Please carefully check if files have not been extracted, this could be the cause of several problems during a game on your server.

Step 4 - Preparation of the file

Now, please prepare the folder for your server. We provide "README" documents as well as other files when you purchase a map available in several languages. To find out how to install a specific language on your map (texture change), we invite you to follow this document, which will help you install it. When you are finished, you can return to this step. In the end, your file should look like "AeronModding_MapName". If for example you opt for our Training Center, the file name will be "AeronModding_TrainingCenter". It is also possible that our map is available with several locations when purchasing (this is particularly the case for the Training Center), you must therefore choose the location you want and start only one of the alternatives offered, if you put a start on all the files, you will then have an error appearing in games, and your map will not be playable.

Be careful not to remove the .fxap file which will cause you to crash if removed, or which will cause significant damage to your map.

Step 5 - Implementation on server

Now you can drop the folder on your server's file manager. Be careful not to modify the name of the resource, or include the resource in a core, this will not necessarily damage your license, but it can sometimes cause problems.

Step 6 - Finishing

Now you can "start" your resource on your server, you must go to the "server.cfg" file, or if your server has a "resource.lua" and indicate either "start" or "ensure" there. inside one of the two files.

You can now test your map.
